In this 1950’s Ranch home, 1/2” Uponor hePex tubing is stapled up under the main floor. A reflective insulation will ensure that the heat is transferred to the floor above and not down into the basement. Staple-up applications allow for older homes to be retrofitted with radiant floor heating systems. They can also be used in new home construction.
The crew installs 1/2” Uponor hePex tubing in a 6,700 sq ft home in Bow Mar. The home and 950 sq ft garage are heated with a Triangle Tube Prestige Solo 250,000 btu boiler and a Lochinvar Squire Sito 80 gallon side arm provides the hot water. There are 14 zones. The home also has 2,300 sq ft of snow-melt that is melted with a Triangle Tube Prestige Solo 250,000 btu boiler.
